MICROSOFT PRISM

I had a lot more creative freedom this project and we were tasked to create illustrations for an event. I've always been mesmerized by Microsoft product advertisements. They look grand yet playful at the same time and I just love how they balance softness with impactful elements throughout the entire advertisement. Needless to say, their aesthetics are fascinating. It has inspired me to create an advertisement for an event to announce the launch of the new Microsoft Prism mask. Today, the mask is an essential item for everyone due to the pandemic. It is so close to our mouths, which makes it the perfect device for voice control. Built in voice recognition will allow wearers to perform tasks like sending a text, setting reminders for later, or ordering food just by talking.

Using a blueish toned surrounding gave the feeling of a cool environment. That is really important to me when wearing a mask because if I feel like I'm breathing from a humid and warm enclosed space it will be really uncomfortable. Therefore, I wanted to portray with colours that this mask has a cooling effect when it cools down the air while filtering it. Hence, providing a very comfortable and fresh environment to breathe in, almost like an air-conditioned place. I'm also very inspired by Apple commercials and I really liked the use of upbeat music as well as voice narrations of people saying things to the phone (Siri) to demonstrate product features. I incorporated this method in my commercial with the voice narration: "I'm on my way." before the sentence "Message sent" pops up.
