Client: Masonry Studios
Role: Creative Lead
Phase 01
Treatment
A move towards a design-driven CGI approach.
Stripping back visual noise to focus on intentional and authored compositions, opening up new space for expression, control, and more considered visual storytelling.

As Creative Lead, the work was structured through clear timelines, milestones, and a progression framework that turned ambition into actionable direction while aligning the team around shared intent.
A strong team of problem-solvers and exploratory artists worked independently and collectively to anticipate issues and produce cohesive, considered output.
Shoutout to Roy, QianLing, Yanxuan, and Ronald. MVPs.
Role
Impact
The work moves towards a more design-driven CGI approach. Instead of building fully realistic, densely detailed environments around the product, the focus is placed on what actually needs to be seen. By stripping back visual noise, the image becomes clearer, allowing attention to sit on form, motion, and intent.
This opens space for exploration in areas that were previously secondary in a realism-led workflow. Colour can be pushed further, smudging and motion blur can become expressive tools, and subtle details can be used to guide attention rather than compete for it.
The approach draws from principles of graphic design, where negative space is intentional and composition is used to direct focus. Each frame is treated with a clearer sense of hierarchy, allowing the image to breathe while remaining controlled and purposeful.
The result is a move away from purely realistic construction towards a more authored visual language, one that strengthens internal capability and gives clients a clearer, more considered way of telling their stories.
